Kinnie Starr is an artist whose versatility and desire to explore shines through in every performance she engages in. We enjoyed her set at the Kinnie at the Komasket Festival . 3. Art Johns, from the Tagish First Nation in the Yukon, is a veteran country music singer who draws on the best traditions of storytelling in his music.

    1. The Half Pints are a hot stepping group led by Brenda Lapointe. We caught up to them at the inaugural Metisfest in southwestern Manitoba. 2. Eagle and Hawk have been touring together for more than a dozen years and these guys chugged out a rockin’ set for us at the Gathering of Our People Festival in Moose Factory. 3. Kaiva is a Nunavut-based group that has taken hip hop and merged that with traditional Inuit drums and dance with outstanding results.
